The Fight Against Cellulite – Part 1

For many women, even the best diet and exercise program still leaves them with cellulite. Bumps and dimples on the skin may make you fell conscientious about showing off your body, no matter how fit you may be. This brings up an obvious question: “Can you really make cellulite go away?” The guide below will explain how to fight cellulite on your body so you can regain your confidence in the future.

Cellulite Is Normal…VERY Normal

It is important to understand that it is normal to have cellulite. Most women (85%) have cellulite because of how their body’s skin, tissues, and fat are naturally engineered. This is genetic and hereditary, and you cannot control it. With that in mind, there are ways you can reduce the appearance of cellulite and make your skin look as smooth as possible.

What Causes Cellulite?

To understand what causes cellulite, you need to understand what cellulite really is. Your skin is connected to the underlying soft tissue and muscles by firm connecting fibers. Your fat is dispersed in between the poles of connecting fibers under your skin and above your soft tissue and muscles. Cellulite results when your fat cells bulge through the skin between skin-connecting fibers. When you gain weight, your fat cells increase in size. These increased fat cells will bulge outward toward the skin for that added room, which will create the appearance of more cellulite or dimpling. Another contributing factor to pronounced cellulite is the decrease in skin quality, tone, and thinning that occurs with age. As skin loses its elasticity, it is no longer able to remain taut and firm. Less supportive skin is more likely to give in under pressure from the underlying fat cells, which ultimately results in more cellulite on the surface. Sun damage, significant weight changes, and poor nutrition and lifestyle habits will also weaken the skin, causing large fat cells to rise to the surface. Learning to control these areas of your life will help you combat cellulite and improve your skin’s appearance.

Can I Get Rid Of Cellulite?

Some forms of cellulite will not go away on their own, and they may require liposuction or other procedures to remove. With that said, there are ways you can change your diet, fitness, and daily habits to reduce the appearance of cellulite on your skin’s surface. Move on to the next part of this guide to learn how to fight cellulite naturally. Continue to Part 2
